Bencoolen MRT Station was right at the doorstep. Also, Bras Basah station is just across the road and Dhoby Ghaut station 5 minutes' walk away. Very convenient. Clean and well-kept. Friendly staff.

Location was fantastic, convenient to several MRT stations, shopping centres and food outlets across the road and downtown Singapore and Fort Canning a stone throw away. The room was large and spotless, very quiet (double-glazing), and had a very decent bed. Staff were helpful, efficient and professional.

The location is fantastic, next to Downtown Line. Right opposite the Bencoolen MRT Station, bus stops, taxi stand.There are lots of restaurants and shops near by and a 7 11 just over the road.Rooms are the same. Nothing special.

Strand Hotel was very conveniently located. The entrance to the metro was literally opposite the hotel entrance, there is also a bus stop behind the corner with frequent buses to the airport. Hotel staff was very friendly and check in / check out process was very smooth. Room was clean and spacious with comfy beds and clean bathroom.

The location is fantastic, next to Downtown Line and near Circle Line. Staff are friendly. A bit dated but I wouldn't mind as the room is bigger than most hotels in Singapore.
